Below the crew rested easy in their sleep
Ever returning safely back to land
Captain seeking lighted bean avoided hidden sand —- Rode the waves from Neptune’s fork
Sails filled with wind mast stalwart
Crossed the seas and round the capes Over ocean and through the straights —- Voyagers carried from distant ports Exotic wares from foreign lands I did escort Now my hull has sunk to oceans depth Naught but iron cross of me is left —– Treasures now but memorries and forgotten lore
