White Is My World – The alchemy of snow

First weekend of glorious snow.  Let others complain about the arrival of winter as clouds let loose on us – whether liquid or frozen  We decide to strap on our boards and head to where we can enjoy it.  With over 60 cm (or over 20 inches) of frozen alabaster   in 48 hours here is one reminder of why we live where we do…..white is my world!

White is my world

Clouds racing over jagged peaks in their haste

Release ethereal flakes of diamonds in their wake

That trees weave like silken thread into ivory gloves.

And Earth wraps like feather down from above

Breath in the icy air as you come alive

Legs like spring released we strive

To catch and hold heaven’s blessed  snowy flake
