
Many restaurants in Japan use plastic look-a-like food or shokuhin sampuru to represent their menu offerings rather than detailing everything in 10 different languages.

Some areas take this to the next level – going much bigger and even include moving parts. Osaka’s Dotonbori district is famous for these unusual representations,
Not sure whether these plastic icons really work as positive marketing. In many cases they may actually repel potential customers IMHO.
